The Institute of Grant & Project Management Studies (IGPMS) processes personal data in line with the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019, and the regulations issued under it. This statement sets out how we meet our obligations as a data controller and, where applicable, data processor.
We process personal data on the basis of consent (when you submit an enquiry or enrolment form), contractual necessity (to deliver a programme or consultancy engagement you've enrolled in or commissioned), and legitimate interest (such as responding to enquiries and maintaining accreditation records).
Under the Data Protection Act, you have the right to be informed of the use to which your personal data is to be put, access your personal data, object to processing, correct false or misleading data, and request deletion of your data, subject to any legal or contractual retention requirements.
Where IGPMS processes data on behalf of an institutional or donor-agency client (for example, in a MEAL or research engagement), we do so under the terms of that client's data-sharing agreement and applicable confidentiality obligations.
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.
